Today, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, received in a farewell visit the Ambassador of Ukraine, Oleksandr Aleksandrovych, and thanked him for his engagement in improving relations between the two countries.
President Vucic pointed out that Serbia and Ukraine have an opportunity to develop cooperation in various spheres of mutual interest, and stressed the need to keep working on strengthening economic relations, given the untapped potential.
The interlocutors agreed that there are many more areas in which Serbia and Ukraine could further engage in order to improve cooperation. In that regard, they pointed out that it is important that the work on the Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Ukraine be completed soon.
President Vucic and Ambassador Aleksandrovych stated that both countries are committed to respecting the norms of international public law, both bilaterally and through the work of international organizations and institutions.
Ambassador Aleksandrovych pointed out that Serbia and Ukraine are friendly countries whose cooperation is based on mutual respect, and added that his stay and work in Serbia were a special pleasure. President Vucic wished the ambassador good health and much success in his further work. |
