Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selakovic, met with the Ambassador of Ukraine, Oleksandr Alexandrovich.
Minister Selakovic informed the Ukrainian ambassador about the conclusion of the National Security Council, which will soon be decided upon by the Government of Serbia.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that the Republic of Serbia provide full and principled support for respecting the principles of territorial integrity of Ukraine, emphasizing that generally accepted principles of protection of international law are the basis of Serbia's foreign policy.
According to him, Serbia considers it very wrong to violate the territorial integrity of any country, including Ukraine.
Selakovic emphasized Serbia's commitment to dialogue and peaceful settlement of disputes, adding that the Serbian people consider Russians and Ukrainians to be brotherly nations and that we see the loss of every life in Ukraine as a tragedy.
The Minister emphasized the readiness of Serbia to accept refugees from Ukraine and, in accordance with our capabilities, to send humanitarian and medical aid.
